Jamie Carr Memorial Scholarship

Description:

This scholarship was established in memory of Jamie Carr, who attended Colorado State University on a full scholarship as a McNair scholar and earned her B.S. in Biochemistry with an emphasis in Chemistry. The goal of the Jamie Carr Memorial Scholarship is to assist and encourage young people who embody Jamie's spirit, style, and intelligence. The recipient will be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

Criteria:

1) Full-time undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology 2) Be a resident of Colorado 3) Write a short essay (1 to 2 paragraphs) on the topic - "Describe your favorite pair of shoes and what they mean to you" 4) Maintain a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA 5) Primary preference shall be given to residents of Delta County in Colorado and secondary preference shall be given to Colorado residents from small rural communities (i.e. populations less than 2,000) 6) Preference shall also be given to students participating in the Women in Natural Sciences (WINS) program (Scholarship may be renewed if student reapplies, continues to meet all criteria and is selected again by the selection committee)
