ACS-Hach Land Grant Scholarship
Description:
This scholarship was originally established by the Hach Scientific Foundation to provide scholarships to undergraduate students in the field of chemistry education at Colorado State University. This scholarship is administered by the American Chemical Society.
Criteria:
1) Full-time undergraduate chemistry major with a commitment to become a high school chemistry teacher 2) Must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA out of 4.0 (or its equivalent 3) Must be a US citizen or a lawful permanent resident 4) Preference given to students with demonstrated financial need when deciding between equally qualified candidates

Other Requirements:
Students must provide photo, one paragraph biography, and thank you letter and must demonstrate continuing progress toward chemistry teacher licensure by providing a short statement of intent addressing their aspirations to make a contribution to the teaching profession. Recipients must respond to the American Chemical Society with a very brief one or two sentence statement of career status for the first five years after graduation.
