Alok Mehta 9-11 Scholarship

Description:

The Alok Mehta 9-11 Scholarship was created by Dr. Gopal and Mrs. Sneh Mehta in honor of the victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Their son, Alok, was working as an intern for Cantor Fitzgerald in the First Tower at the World Trade Center and has been missing since that date. The scholarship provides support to undergraduate students majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Criteria:

1) Undergraduate student majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology 2) Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA 3) Demonstrate financial need as established by Office of Student Financial Services 4) Preference given to a member of the Triangle Fraternity, and/or applicant involved with the Boys and Girls Club, or other community engagement activities (Scholarships are not renewable)
