Edward and Phyllis Reed Fellowship

Description:

The Edward and Phyllis Reed Fellowship was established by Dr. and Mrs. Edward Reed to reflect Dr. Reed's lifetime dedication to invertebrate research and his and Mrs. Reed's hope to aid a student with the same interest and dedication.

Criteria:

1) Masters or Ph.D. candidate working on fresh-H2O Copepoda research 2) If no candidate in that area of research, may be given to a graduate student studying limnology of an inland lentic environment 3) If no candidate in either of these areas of research, may be given to a graduate student studying the biology of any species of freshwater invertebrate animal of lentic, lotice, or groundwater environment 4) US/Canadian/European student 5) Financial need - preference to student not currently receiving any financial assistance (e.g., TA or fellowship) - students receiving other assistance are eligible, but award cannot be given to a graduate student who has all of his/her tuition and fees fully supported (Renewable: 2-years for a masters candidate; 4-years for a Ph.D. candidate) (Please note, interdisciplinary students (GDPE & CMB) may be eligible if the primary adviser is a faculty member within the Department of Biology in the College of Natural Sciences)
